1. The Service and Agreement

1.1 Nature of Service

GSM provides professional trading card and sports card grading services, which include authentication, condition assessment, encapsulation (slabbing), and issuing a certified grade based on our proprietary scale.

1.2 Acceptance of Risk

Grading is a subjective process. While we strive for accuracy and consistency, you agree to purchase services and submit your cards at your own risk. We cannot guarantee a specific grade prior to assessment.

1.3 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

2. Orders, Payment, and Cancellation

2.1 Service Ordering and Payment

• Payment Requirement: Services must be paid for in full upon completion of your submission and prior to the commencement of the grading process.
• Pricing: All information, descriptions, and pricing displayed are made as accurate as possible but are subject to change.
• Payment Methods: We accept payment via Credit Card and Debit Card through our secure payment processor. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the agreed amount due.

2.2 Order Modification and Cancellation

We reserve the right to modify, reject, or cancel any order if necessary (e.g., due to submission issues, fraud suspicion, or failure to meet requirements). If GSM cancels your order after payment has been processed, we will issue a full refund.

2.3 UK/EU Right to Cancel (14-Day Cooling-Off Period)

• If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have the right to cancel your service contract within 14 days without giving a reason.
• Refunds are only provided if the cancellation request is received within this 14-day period and no Grading services have taken place.
• All refunds related to cancellation requests will be subject to a £25 administration fee.
• To cancel, you must inform us via a clear statement by email or post. You may use the Cancellation Form provided at the end of these Terms.

3. Your Account

When you create an account on our Site, you agree that you are solely responsible for the security and privacy of your account and that all personal information you provide is up-to-date, accurate, and truthful.

4. Intellectual Property

All content published and made available on the Site, including images, text, logos, and documents, is the property of Gold Standard Metrics and may not be used without prior written permission.

5. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

These Terms shall not limit any of your mandatory legal rights under applicable consumer protection legislation. GSM and its employees will not be liable for any actions, claims, losses, or damages arising from your use of the Site, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

6. General Provisions

6.1 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be inconsistent or invalid, that provision will be removed, and the remaining provisions will remain valid.

6.2 Changes to Terms

These Terms may be amended from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or by posting a notice on our Site.
